Eureka Springs, Arkansas Bed & Breakfast Inn Lodging Suites
Namesake: Father Peter Mazaret
In late 1901, the Sisters of Mercy opened The Hotel Dieu on Fairmount Street and Father Peter Mazaret was appointed as their Chaplain.

Father Mazaret urged moving the frame church for the betterment of the community. He asked humbly for a loan from Bishop Fitzgerald, which would cover the cost of moving the church, and the $1,500.00 that was being asked for the property.
In 1902, the church was moved to a choice piece of land valued at $1,300.00. The lot was 110 feet by 94 feet and was located on the corner of Prospect and Fairmount. It was taken down by sections, marked, and pulled through winding streets on a wagon.
In 1904 a new frame building, which housed a rectory and a school, was finished. The structure sported spacious Verandas and was used for church events such as ice cream socials and card parties.

You may enjoy breakfast en-Suite if you'd like or, weather permitting, you may dine Al Fresco on the welcoming verandas.
